The Silver Rule
Oxidation, commonly known as tarnish, is a natural trait of silver.
However, silver that is worn regularly tends to tarnish much more slowly.
For this reason, we recommend wearing your silver often to keep its natural luster.
Polishing
We recommend using a high-quality silver cream for the best results. Apply the cream with a soft sponge, gently but firmly rubbing it over the entire surface. Once fully coated, rinse the piece thoroughly in warm, soapy water. Dry it immediately and buff with a soft cloth to restore its shine.
The Details
To highlight the intricate details of silver, a technique called burnishing is sometimes used, which darkens the crevices to make decorative elements stand out. We don’t recommend attempting this at home.
Rest assured, regular cleaning and polishing won’t affect any burnishing we’ve applied.
